Referrals
All our services operate on a referral basis and are not instant access.
Generally a client needs to be referred to us from a housing department, social services, probation service or other support agency. We do have a small number of properties where a client can refer themselves.
The referral process for our services varies depending on the client group and type of service. Each service has specific eligibility criteria to ensure that clients receive the appropriate type of housing and/or support. In some cases clients can only be referred by the local authority. To find out the eligibility criteria and referral process for a specific service, please contact the relevant team.
The prospective client will usually need to complete an application form and consent to other relevant information being supplied (for example mental health records, details of any convictions, risk assessments). We have the right of veto for all applicants. If an applicant is unsuccessful, we will explain the reasons why and suggest alternative accommodation where possible. Unsuccessful applicants have the right to appeal.
