What does a general day at work for you involve?

Keywork sessions dealing with many different clients, helping them with problems ranging from relationship breakdowns to money problems to looking for courses or work. Dealing with different agencies to ensure clients get as much support as possible.

What do you enjoy most?

I like the fact that every day is different and the fact that every client needs support in a different way. It is ever changing and I truly learn something new every day.

What is your most satisfying experience?

My most satisfying experience is working with a client needing a lot of support and helping him to build the independent skills needed so he could move on successfully and lead a more positive rewarding life.

AshleyWhat different roles have you had in Transform?

I am a rep on the Staff Forum, which means my team and I get a say in how the organisation is run. I help with client meetings where rules and other matters that affect residents of Pound House are discussed.

On a personal level what do you think you have gained?

I have learned how to adapt my communications skills when talking to different clients and have learnt that an honest, truthful approach always works best.

What do you think Transform as an organisation to work for?

Transform has an excellent pension policy, are very flexible and generous with holiday and give interesting detailed training.

What experience did you have of working in this sector?

I previously worked for Surrey Probation Service which meant I was used to dealing with many different people in many different walks of life.
