Registered Operations Manager
What does your typical day at work involve?
There is no ‘typical’ day as no two days are ever the same. As the Registered Operations Manager my day might involve carrying out client assessments, supporting staff, or dealing with the more complex client issues. I also deliver care myself to check the quality of the support provided, and to build a relationship with people who use our services.
What do you enjoy most?
I always enjoy informal interactions with our clients, for example at social events, where you get a greater knowledge of their personal circumstances.
What has been your most satisfying experience?
When we got our last CQC inspection back in 2014 - we were found to be fully compliant and this recognised everyone’s hard work.
What training and development have you done?
There is a real focus on training and development – not just the mandatory courses but also professional development training.
What do you think you have gained personally?
A better understanding of how tough life can be for some of our clients in today’s society.
What do you think of Transform as an organisation to work for?
I have always found my role to be fulfilling, and expect this to continue in the new merged organisation.
What experience did you have in this sector?
I have worked in health and social care for 30 years and have a wealth of experience with different client groups, and in different settings.
What would you say to someone who is thinking of working for Transform?
I find this work very fulfilling and feel privileged to be part of it.
