Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner visits Transform

10 October 2014

The Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner for Surrey, Jeff Harris, visited Transform in Reigate on Thursday 9 October.

The visit was a chance for Jeff to find out more about Transform’s work with people in recovery from drug or alcohol dependency and also people with a history of offending. Transform provides specialist housing, with support, where people can overcome such issues.

Mr Harris went first to one of our dry and drug-free properties, where he met several clients who explained how Transform has helped each of them to rebuild their lives without drugs or alcohol. He then visited one of our shared houses for people with a history of offending, where we give support to help people avoid reoffending in future.

Transform Chief Executive Paul Mitchell, who escorted Mr Harris on his visit, said:

“We were delighted to have the chance to show Jeff Harris our work and are very grateful to him for taking the time to visit. Transform has more than 40 years’ experience of supporting homeless and vulnerable people to transform their lives. This has a huge benefit for the individuals we help and for the whole community.”
