Lockdown art competition winner announced

28 September 2020

At the beginning of lockdown we launched a competition to try and find the best art or craft project produced during lockdown by any member of the Transform family.

They were allowed to submit any type of artwork including drawing, painting, sculpture, embroidery. Submissions were then published and put out for a vote...

We are pleased to announce that the winner is Jessica, a client from the Elmbridge Team! Jessica will receive a £50 Amazon voucher and her painting will be displayed in one of our offices.

Jessica sent us a lovely thank you letter:

“COVID has brought me on an emotional rollercoaster, it was definitely hard to begin with, little money, lonely home, and no idea what to do with myself. It definitely took a toll on my mental health and made me make some hard decisions. But after a small adjustment period, I realised it wasn’t so bad. I found new hobbies, found out who my real friends are and even connected with old friends and family.

"I am very grateful for everything Transform have done for me."

The thing about COVID is, even though it’s hard and we may be far apart, the feeling of being alone and scared brought us all together. I realised how grateful I am to have a home, family, and friends, which a lot of people couldn’t have during these times or even ever. I feel like art is a great way of showing how much you care from afar, which is why I treated the lovely team of Transform Walton to a painting of my appreciation.

I wasn’t expecting anything from it but it’s a lovely surprise for me to know I succeeded in something! With my winnings I am going to get a few art supplies and find some awesome Christmas presents for my family, I am very grateful for everything Transform have done for me.”

We can't wait to see Jessica's excellent artwork on the wall!
