Following a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection in November, Transform Homecare North West Surrey has been rated as ‘Good’ by the health and social care regulator.
The team was visited on 7 November 2017 and were rated against five CQC domains – safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. Transform scored ‘Good’ across the board.
People and their relatives said that staff were caring and treated them with kindness. One person stated:
"They are all nice. I'm happy with the carers. I couldn't fault any of them. They are caring and supportive."
One relative told us:
"They all take a personal interest and pride in their job. (Family member) loves them and brightens when they're around."
Another relative said:
"(Family member) loves them and they are very nice to her."
In addition to the people who we support, and their relatives, staff were also interviewed - one staff member told the inspector:
“We treat people how we would want our own family to be treated. I was going to give up working in care before I came here but I’m so pleased I didn’t. They are so positive and truly care about the clients and the staff. I absolutely love my job and want to do it well.”
Helen Dickens, Compliance Support Officer for Transform Homecare North West Surrey said:
“We were so pleased to see the CQC inspection report reflected all the hard work of our team in Ashford. It also noted many complimentary remarks from our clients who were interviewed by the Inspectors on the day, and great quotes from our staff who are very proud of the service they provide.”
Transform Homecare comprises three registered locations including North West Surrey. Transform Homecare East Surrey was inspected in June 2017 and also received a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC. It is anticipated that the final service, in Mid Surrey, will be inspected in the coming months. These ratings are the first since the merger between Transform and Cherchefelle in October 2016.
