September challenges are go!

This weekend, some very brave volunteers will be participating in sports challenges in order to raise valuable funds for Transform.

On Saturday 12 September, Karen and Amanda are going to be taking part in the Thames Path Walk. The trail for this challenge is unique and as the name suggests, follows the River Thames. This event will provide beautiful scenery in the rural areas that surround the Thames and also great city sights as the participants journey through London. The city part of this trail has been voted one of the world’s best urban treks!

On Sunday 13 September, Paul will be taking part in the Surrey Bacchus Half Marathon.  This race trails through the Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey, allowing runners to take in the stunning views of the Surrey Hills. Along the course, there are refreshment stops, serving wine – what else? This event gathers runners from all over the world and in 2013 was voted the second best half marathon in the UK!

The sponsorship money that these runners raise will help support our work with homeless and vulnerable people.
