Transform appoints new Chief Executive

Transform Housing & Support is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive.

Lawrence Santcross, the current the Care & Support Director at Notting Hill Genesis, will take up his new position with Transform in August 2018 following the retirement, after 25 years of outstanding service, of the current Chief Executive, Paul Mitchell.

Lawrence joins Transform with a wealth of knowledge of both the housing and care sectors. For the last seven years he has led Genesis’s housing, care and support business. During this time he has developed their successful housing and social care business providing services to over 4,500 people including those who are homelessness, older people, those with mental health issues and people with learning disabilities. More recently Lawrence has also led Genesis’s temporary housing business.

Prior to that Lawrence was employed by Stonham (now Home Group), as a director leading policy, strategy and business development functions.

Lawrence started his career in 1988 working with ex-offenders before gaining experience with a wider range of people including those with mental health issues, homelessness people, and people with alcohol and substance misuse difficulties.

Lawrence said:

“The opportunity to lead an organisation which has a local focus and is values-driven was a key factor for me. Transform delivers high quality services and has done so consistently over its history. I am thrilled to be joining Transform and aim to continue to deliver quality services and grow this wonderful organisation.”

Mark Austen, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Transform, welcomed Lawrence’s appointment:

“Lawrence brings excellent social care delivery experience within a housing context. I believe him to be a strong leader with a clear purpose and he brings the skills, experiences and values required to this role. I, the rest of the Board and staff are looking forward to working with him to build further on the successful platform that Transform has established over the last 50 years.”
