Transform helps homeless people in Epsom

This month Transform Housing & Support is launching a new service for homeless people and families in Epsom.

This new temporary accommodation service will be run on behalf of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council by Transform. Local people and families nominated by the council, who might otherwise be homeless, will be able to stay here until more permanent accommodation becomes available.

Transform will be providing housing management for clients at the property, which is owned by the council. The building consists of eight flats, each for a family, with between one and three bedrooms. People who are referred to this service may otherwise be homeless or staying in bed and breakfast accommodation, usually out of the area. The service aims to help clients feel settled, stable and safe.

Great news is one family has already been able to move into the first flat. With the remaining flats needing further building works, it is expected this work will be completed by the end of the summer.
