Transform Housing & Support has received a donation of over £10,000 from Wick Hill Ltd, the current holders of the 'Woking’s most successful company' title. The money donated will support our work with homeless and vulnerable people throughout Surrey.
Transform was selected as one of Wick Hill’s chosen charities to receive monthly donations. Staff hold a dress down day every Friday, paying £1 each, and all money raised is matched by the company. So far we have received donations totalling £10,206.94.
The money raised will help to create new homes for homeless and vulnerable people in Surrey, including accommodation for disadvantaged young people and people with learning disabilities. It will also support Transform to offer small ‘independence grants’ to clients of the charity. These grants will help people to access opportunities they could otherwise not reach, such as entering education or employment, or furnishing a new home.
Paul Mitchell, Chief Executive at Transform Housing & Support, said:
“We are very grateful to everyone at Wick Hill for their extremely generous support for Transform. I would like to thank all the staff who have donated to support our work with local homeless and vulnerable people. Their generosity has really boosted our clients and helped us to continue the valuable work we do. Thank you very much to everyone at Wick Hill Ltd.”
Ian Kilpatrick, chairman Wick Hill Group, said:
“Transform is doing a truly excellent job for homeless and vulnerable people and it is a privilege for us to be able to support them.”
